After a day learning about the people, society and culture of Kerala, many people spent the second day in port visiting the famous Kerala "Backwaters," the lush region extending beyond Cochin criss-crossed by rivers and waterways. |

A house with a front door to the water. With regards to the work ethic, creativity and willingness to travel long distances that Keralites are known for, one legend goes that when Neil Armstrong landed on the moon in 1969, it was a Keralite who came forth and offered him a cup of tea. |
