Taking swings at a "Pinata" at the Colombian booth on "Cultural Day"
Peace Boat's array of participants from all over the world got together to introduce the best of their countries' cultures in a day of activities. Broadening its perspective on issues that are usually the focus of attention, the aim of Peace Boat's Cultural Day was a chance for participants to see the bigger picture and a lighter side of the countries which Peace Boat visits. From children taking a swing at a dazzling "Pinata" in the Colombia booth, to men slapping their chests and waving their tongues to the Maori haka in the New Zealand booth, the atmosphere was truly international. In total, 17 nationalities were represented in the festivities, including participants, International Students, GET teachers and other staff.
