Aug 28th 2001/Updated
Peace Boat's Summer at Sea 2001 Global Voyage left Japan on May 22 and will be returning to Japan on August 26, 2001 after crossing the two great canals of the world and visiting 19 countries. Over 600 people are onboard. The following is a selection of some of the many activities happening on the voyage this week:
July 7th - The Forgotten Youth of Bosnia: Building Trust and Hope a Decade On

July 8th - The Media as a Tool for Activism / Andreas Zumach, Tom Hyland and Didi Remez

ADVOCATE! Effect Change in Our World / Tom Hyland

But the enormity of mounting a campaign overwhelms many people who really do want change. This is the unseen mountain that stops most of us in our tracks. However, Tom Hyland, the director of the East Timor Ireland Solidarity Campaign, has been over that mountain and kindly offered to come back and show an interested group of potential campaigners on Peace Boat paths which can be taken to mount an advocacy campaign. - MORE
