Nick Logan is a lifelong wanderer who found his calling in the field of journalism. In his 31 years, he has visited 35 countries -- and counting -- developing a passion for global cultures, human rights and world affairs along the way. Above all he is dedicated to his work in media and intends to pursue a career as a foreign correspondent
He has worked as a freelance reporter since graduating from the Bachelor of Journalism program at the University of King's College, in Halifax, Canada, and he has previously completed a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Spanish at St. Thomas University, in his hometown of Fredericton. This is his third time working with Peace Boat, having travelled around the world as a GET (Global English Training) teacher on board the 51st and 53rd voyages.
During Peace Boat's travels around the southern hemisphere, Nick plans to incorporate the use of web-based media and social networking into the voyage reports. He will regularly update followers on the "Peace Boat 68th Voyage" Facebook page and he plans to develop audio and visual material to offer a more in-depth view of participant life and voyage events.
