My name is Symerna Blake. I am a 27 year-old journalist from St Catherine, Jamaica. I have lived in Japan for two years and have thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of adjusting to a new culture. Before moving to Japan, I worked as a Radio Producer for Nationwide News Network, Jamaica. I relish stories of overcoming, discovery and reconciliation. When I am not working on media projects, I enjoy getting my hands dirty in the kitchen or with various handicrafts, developing my skills as a photographer and good conversation.
