On arrival in Rapa Nui, Emilia facilitated a tour of the island which included meeting locals, experiencing the unique food, music and dance of the island, and learning about the islands’ famous moai. The Rapa Nui people are very proud of their moai, said Emilia. “I think I have a lot to be proud of, we developed a unique art with our moai. We are proud that on this isolated island hundreds of years ago, the people found the inspiration to work together – to work as a team for one objective,” she said. |
