Japan-Korea simultaneous rally in opposition to the revision of Article 9

Place: St. Ignatius Church, near Yotsuya Station Time: 1:00pm

Amid escalated controversy surrounding the revision of Article 9 due to the endorsement of a new draft Constitution by the Liberal Democratic Party, Civil Society Organizations and NGOs in Korea and Japan opposed to the war in Iraq have organized a simultaneous rally in Tokyo and Seoul, in opposition to the revision of Article 9.

On November 3rd, the anniversary of the promulgation of the Japanese Constitution, a rally titled “STOP! Constitutional Revision Rampage. November 3rd Constitution Rally” held at the St. Ignatius Church in Yotsuya, Tokyo, will include guests from Korean NGOs, announcement of a Korea-Japan joint statement, and Peace Parade.
