February 1, 2010 GLOBAL FRIENDSHIP AWARD: For Students of Japanese Language

Peace Boat is pleased to announce a new scholarship programme being offered to students of Japanese language. The Global Friendship Award provides recipients with a free, intensive, total-immersion Japanese language study programme on board Peace Boat's 69th Global Voyage, as well as covering 40% of the entire voyage fare. Peace Boat is now inviting Japanese language students around the world to apply.

Through the Global Friendship Award, recipients will immerse themselves in Japanese language, as well as participate fully in Peace Boat’s unique programming on board and in ports.

Global Friendship Award

  • 40% subsidy of Peace Boat Global Voyage fare visiting 22 ports in 20 countries.
  • Free Intensive Japanese study programme on board Peace Boat.
  • Open to students currently enrolled in a university (or equivalent) Japanese language course.
