Invisible walls of separation and segregation are being erected the world over in this one-sided ‘War on Terrorism’. In Palestine, however, a physical “Apartheid Wall” is being constructed in the name of counteracting terrorism, destroying the lives of countless humans in the process. Japan is not exempt from this wave of segregation sweeping the world too. Will we be able to overcome the intertwining walls of segregation that are being built not only in Palestine, but in Iraq, the US and in Japan?
November 9 is a day which commemorates the fall of the Berlin Wall. On November 9, 2004, many NGOs across the world will be holding events, appeals and conventions in regards to the Apartheid Wall in Palestine. In Japan, NGOs have convened to plan this following event, ‘Stop the Wall!!’: |
