December 4, 2003 Art Ambassadors from San Francisco to join Peace Boat's voyage to WSF 2004 in Mumbai
The "Art Ambassador Programme" is a key part of Peace Boat's activities in San Francisco, and cooperation with US civil society towards another world. Following auditions and interviews, a group of the Bay Areas most promising artists have been chosen to join Peace Boat's 44th voyage from Tokyo, Japan to the World Social Forum (WSF) 2004 in Mumbai, India.

The artists will faciliate workshops and performances onboard for Peace Boat's participants, before joining the thousands of social justice activists at WSF 2004. Under the theme of "Another World is Possible" their performances and presence at the WSF will aim to explore the experiences of those in US civil society seeking global change and reach out in solidarity to global civil society. The group includes two journalists to record the experiences in print and video for US audiences, and further work towards mobilisation for the WSF process.

The Art Ambassadors are currently searching for support in raising funds for their airfares. >>Read their letter.
